Storm Windows are a great way to make your old inefficient windows more durable in the harsh elements of winter.  Storm windows come in all sorts of different styles, colors, and operations.  The most common type of storm window is the triple track unit.  Three tracks hold 2 glass inserts and 1 screen insert.  You operate them by sliding the glass or screen insert up or down (which ever insert you want to use at the time).  The inserts can also be easily removed in most instances for cleaning or repair.  Other types of storm windows are picture, sliding, two track, oriel, and many others.
